Uitzicht Precision Engineering

Uitzicht precision engineering was started in 2002. The name Uitzicht came from the area where we started, however we relocated to Paarl to be more central when space became too small.

We see ourselves as a small business, yet we are capable of putting out a sizeable amount of work on a monthly basis.

UPE is owned and managed by Michael, who along with Leclue, does the bulk of the conventional turning work. Leclue also handles the milling and welding side of things. We are both assisted by Marchall who is in charge of keeping everything clean and tidy as well as helping with drilling, tapping and cutting of material on the bandsaw.

What we do

UPE concentrates mainly on producing components for the poultry, fruit and vegetable industries as well as the wine industry, providing service parts for bottling machines, rinsers and labellers etc.

We manufacture numerous parts to be used in the manufacturing and installation of fruit packhouse machinery.

Local Paarl businesses also keep us busy with a steady supply of turning, milling and welding jobs.

We have recently invested in a CNC lathe.

We hope to build up a strong client base through the production of precision components, at competitive prices whilst offering good lead times. The aim is to invest in more CNC machinery as required.

When time allows we undertake numerous odd jobs ranging from the design and building of trailers for canning factories to heavy duty door hinges designed mainly for horse stables and wine cellar doors.

Including intricate iron work gates, UPE has always been involved in the manufacture, supply and installation of residential fencing as required by various golfing estates in Paarl and Franschoek.
